Overview

Emory Healthcare is a leading academic health system in Georgia, and we are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist Supervisor to join our team. As a supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology department, providing exceptional patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment among our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operation of radiology patient services, including directing and educating staff, maintaining equipment and supplies, and performing advanced procedures as needed.
  • Schedule and provide direction to Radiologic Technologists, ensuring that our team is adequately staffed and equipped to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Coordinate the flow of patients through diagnostic procedures, ensuring that our patients receive timely and efficient care.
  • May perform routine and complex radiologic procedures, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Assist radiologists in evaluating new products and equipment, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiology technology.
  • Oversee the maintenance of x-ray equipment, resolving any malfunctions and ensuring that our equipment is in good working order.
  • Establish quality measures and standards, ensuring that our department meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and provide feedback to staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Develop and conduct employee training programs, ensuring that our staff has the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Regularly meet with and communicate operational changes to staff, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned with our department's goals and objectives.
  • Assist in developing short and long-term goals and objectives, working collaboratively with our leadership team to drive departmental success.
  • Assist in reviewing and administering departmental policies, procedures, and related forms, ensuring that we are in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that staff observe radiation protection techniques, minimizing the risk of radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Ensure that the staffing needs of the department are met, projecting needs, interviewing employees to fill positions, and resolving staffing issues.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory or Level 3 RT experience.
