Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Team Leader to join our team at Gourmet Caterers, Inc. in New England.

As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our cafe, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and overseeing staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities
  • Department Coordination:
    • Ensure all departments work together in unison.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among departments.
    • Monitor and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Oversee client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement and retention.
  • Cafe Operations Oversight:
    • Oversee operations of cafe operations.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Management Team Participation:
    • Collaborate with the management team to set strategic goals and objectives.
    • Contribute to decision-making processes to drive business growth and success.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Ensure the delivery of the highest standards of customer service.
    • Address customer feedback and implement improvements based on their input.
    • Train and motivate staff to maintain exceptional service levels.
  • Food Quality Assurance:
    • Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain superior food quality.
    • Implement quality control measures and ensure consistency in food preparation.
    • Stay updated with culinary trends and integrate innovative ideas into the menu.
  • Teamwork and Leadership:
    • Lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to align goals and expectations.
    • Provide mentorship and support to staff, encouraging professional development.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of experience as a General Manager or similar role in the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • The ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food quality standards.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Estimated salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year.
