About the Role and Company:

Fortis Title and Escrow is seeking a detail-oriented and diligent professional to take on the role of Real Estate Post Closer / Funder. In this essential position, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of post-closing activities, managing funding operations, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. If you possess a strong understanding of real estate transactions, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, this role may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review completed real estate transaction documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Confirm the proper execution and filing of all necessary documents, signatures, and forms in accordance with state and federal laws.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including title companies, lenders, attorneys, and escrow officers, to effectively facilitate the post-closing process.
  • Assemble and manage funding packages, including the distribution of funds to appropriate parties and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to address any discrepancies or issues that may arise after closing.
  • Provide updates and respond to inquiries from borrowers, sellers, and other parties involved in post-closing procedures.
  • Maintain organized and detailed post-closing transaction records for audit purposes and easy access.
  • Stay updated on real estate regulations, industry standards, and loan programs to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing performance reports and summaries for management to provide insights into post-closing trends and outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; additional qualifications in Business, Finance, or related fields are beneficial.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate post-closing or funding roles.
  • A thorough understanding of real estate transaction processes, regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in using software and tools relevant to post-closing and funding activities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities, capable of handling complex situations with professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with various parties during the post-closing phase.
