Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of financial statements, credit histories, and other pertinent data to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants.
  • Assess the feasibility of proposed real estate investments, taking into account property valuations, market dynamics, and the experience of borrowers.
  • Draft detailed credit memos that include recommendations for loan approvals or denials, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk parameters.
  • Identify potential risks linked to loan applications and propose suitable risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters and credit risk managers to guarantee accurate and thorough risk evaluations.
  • Monitor the performance of the loan portfolio and provide insights on trends or emerging risks.
  • Ensure that all credit analyses and documentation adhere to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain organized and precise records of credit decisions and their supporting documentation.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices within the residential lending field.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, ideally within the residential lending or real estate industry.

Exceptional analytical abilities with a strong capacity to interpret financial data and evaluate risk.

  • Familiarity with residential real estate markets and investment principles.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
