Job Title: Music Licensing Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Music Licensing Coordinator to join our team at Broadcast Music, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing research and development activities that support revenue generation, including delivery of new business leads for Licensing Sales and research and verification needs for the Licensing Customer Relations and Accounting & Finance Collections teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct proactive outbound calling to various markets to identify licensable music use and create sales opportunities from lead campaigns and other sources.
  • Verify active customers, including confirmation of music profile changes, ownership changes, account maintenance, pre-calls, fee adjustments, license renewals, report forms, correspondence, and customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with local government agencies to research details and shore up sales leads.
  • Qualify decision makers and business status through initial sales outreach.
  • Review business accounts for status and circumstances, determining if revenue increases are required.
  • Reclaim revenues from suspended accounts.
  • Prepare and issue pre-collection early communications as needed.
  • Conduct post-collections reviews for possible business shutdowns.
  • Review accounts with unresolved balances due and credit balances to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare report forms and license fee schedules as necessary.
  • Conduct research via telephone, internet, and other relevant systems and information sources.
  • Update the customer relationship management (CRM) system with research and findings.
  • Assist with administrative functions such as mail, ad hoc reports, and checking voicemail.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in an office environment preferred. Customer service/telephone experience preferred.
