Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Licensing Associate to join our team at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI). As a key member of our Licensing Sales team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive outbound calling to identify licensable music use and create sales opportunities from lead campaigns and other sources.
  • Verify customer information, including music profile changes, ownership changes, and account maintenance.
  • Research local government agencies to shore up sales leads and conduct initial sales outreach to qualify decision makers and business status.
  • Review business accounts for delinquent status, prepare and issue pre-collection early communications, and conduct post-collection reviews for possible business shutdowns.
  • Update customer relationship management (CRM) system with research and findings, and assist with administrative functions such as mail and ad hoc reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in an office environment preferred, with customer service/telephone experience a plus.
  • Strong telephone skills, interpersonal and communication skills, research skills, data entry skills, database maintenance skills, and detail-oriented.
