Mental Health Unit Coordinator

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Unit Coordinator to join our team at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, MA.

This is a full-time position that requires a licensed, master's-level behavioral health clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions, as well as provide mental health treatment.

The successful candidate will oversee and guide mental health professionals who provide direct care to incarcerated individuals, working closely with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to ensure effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development and revision of policies and procedures for mental health services.
  • Supervise the planning, development, and implementation of treatment programs.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff and monitor the provision of clinical services.
  • Ensure treatment programs are integrated and appropriately staffed.
  • Provide administrative support to psychiatric staff and assist with recruitment and selection of clinical staff.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Independent licensure as a LICSW or LMHC.
  • Previous experience as a mental health clinician.
