About the Role:

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer PRN to join our team. As a Diagnostic Sonographer PRN, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures.
  • Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure prompt submission of all high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Sonography certification program.
  • Two or more ARDMS or RDCS certifications required.
