Job Overview:


The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that expenditures are made judiciously and in alignment with the enterprise's objectives.

This involves collaborating with business stakeholders to identify critical purchasing needs and executing top-tier sourcing strategies for the organization. The role includes leading negotiations, managing bidding processes, and overseeing vendor relationships, while ensuring fair and transparent RFx award evaluations and serving as the principal contact for the business during the execution of purchase agreements.


Key Responsibilities:
- Binds the organization on substantial acquisitions with input from management.
- Significantly influences business operations by committing the organization to financial obligations for various items including furniture, IT hardware and software, services, and supplies.
- Conducts all sourcing, bidding, quoting, and purchasing activities with integrity and transparency.
- Awards purchase agreements based on clear, justifiable, and objective evaluations.
- Manages sourcing projects, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures throughout.
- Gathers business requirements to ensure cost-effectiveness while meeting essential business needs.
- Independently identifies alternative vendors, assesses vendor quality, and negotiates pricing to meet standards and ensure optimal value.
- Monitors and reports on vendor trends, market changes, and supplier performance.
- Utilizes benchmarking data to align vendor partners with industry pricing standards.
- Develops project timelines for all sourcing activities, ensuring timely delivery of RFx awards.
- Maintains comprehensive documentation for sourcing, bidding, and procurement activities, including RFx processes, purchase requisitions, and purchase order management.
- Conducts training sessions to promote understanding of sourcing and procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Performs analytics and provides key performance indicators (KPIs) to management for review, including sourcing and procurement activities.
- Coordinates the consistent delivery of reporting metrics to management.
- Collaborates with relevant team members, business partners, and vendors to ensure sourcing and procurement activities align with departmental and organizational goals.
- Facilitates quarterly reviews of top vendors with the team and management.
- Executes Purchase Agreements and other necessary contract documentation in accordance with purchasing policies and procedures.
- Acts as the primary resource for sourcing and procurement processes, training, and relationship management for both internal clients and vendors.
- Assists the team and management with projects and process enhancements as needed.
