Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented Controls Integration Engineer to lead the integration of control systems within our manufacturing operations. This role is crucial for optimizing automation processes and enhancing overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of control systems for both new and existing production machinery, ensuring effective communication and interoperability.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the compatibility and integration of various control systems and equipment.
- PLC and HMI Integration: Manage PLC programming and HMI integration to develop cohesive control interfaces for improved operational efficiency.
- Testing and Validation: Execute comprehensive testing and validation of integrated control systems to confirm functionality, reliability, and compliance with specifications.
- Optimization and Troubleshooting: Identify areas for enhancement, efficiency gains, and resolve any integration-related challenges to minimize operational downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of integrated systems, configurations, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in controls integration or a similar capacity within a manufacturing setting, ideally in the packaging sector.
- Proficient in PLC programming and HMI integration (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) to ensure seamless control system integration.
- Strong grasp of control system architectures, networking protocols, and industrial communication standards (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Skilled in troubleshooting integrated control systems and resolving compatibility challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external partners.
