Mental Health Professional for Philadelphia Schools

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team at Dunbar Community Counseling Services. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children, youth, and young adults in West and Southwest Philadelphia.
Job DescriptionThe Mobile Therapist will provide child-centered, family-focused psychotherapy using a variety of strengths-based modalities as described in the child's treatment plan. The services may be provided in the school setting when the interagency team determines this to be the most appropriate setting.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Provision of psychotherapy at times that are least disruptive to the child's home/educational schedule.
- Collaboration with the family, other adults working with the child in the school, and school personnel in developing daily routines which will enhance the treatment approach indicated in the treatment plan.
- Assessment of the strengths and therapeutic needs of the child, youth or young adult and family or caregiver.
- Development of Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs).
- Assistance with crisis stabilization.
- Addressing problems the child, youth, or young adult has encountered.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Education: A graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth, or young adults.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid child Abuse, criminal history, CPR/First Aid, and FBI clearances. Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or clinical social worker.
- Personal Qualities: Strong written skills, demonstrated supervisory abilities, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
