Job Summary

Patterson Companies, Inc. is a leading provider of products and services to the animal and oral health markets. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, troubleshooting customer issues, and providing valuable support to our sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to customer retention by strengthening relationships through account management and maintenance.
  • Serve customers by responding to requests, resolving complaints, and maintaining quality service.
  • Develop and enhance business partnerships by fully engaging and building trust with customers.
  • Monitor account performance indicators to ensure buying levels maintain or grow.
  • Support Account Executive in preparing for customer business reviews by pulling accurate data, preparing customer-specific reports, and producing customer practice analysis materials when requested.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services.
  • Partner with Account Executive on analyzing pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends, and competitors.
  • Partner with sales team to escalate sales leads, gained through customer interactions, to Account Executives and Business Development representatives.
  • Responsible for supporting Account Executives with various administrative duties, including master data updates, free goods administration, returns processing, new account set-ups, change of ownerships, order entry, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, business, economics, finance, or related major or equivalent experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Analytical and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Possesses basic business acumen.
  • Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results.
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily.
