Medical Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic dermatology office in Branford, Connecticut.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will assist in various medical procedures, including biopsies and MOHS surgeries, and demonstrate the ability to handle a high volume of patients efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in medical procedures, including biopsies and MOHS surgeries
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and other medical staff
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing medical records
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant Diploma
  • 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Epic experience
  • CMA/RMA required before 90 days on assignment
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced office with 12 doctors on site, handling a high volume of patients per day.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break, totaling 40 hours per week.

Strict adherence to punctuality and performance is required.
