Dermatology Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team at Connecticut Skinhealth LLP in Branford, CT. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our experienced dermatologists.
Responsibilities- Room patients and update their information in the EMR system
- Assist with biopsies and surgical procedures
- Transcribe for providers during exams
- Administer local anesthesia
- Educate patients on their treatment plans
- Manage prescriptions, pathology, and labs
- Assist with cosmetic procedures
- Stock rooms with supplies and sanitize work areas
- Prior experience working in a medical office with EHR system
- Experience with EMA is a bonus
- Dermatology experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work as a professional team member while completing tasks independently
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of strict sterile techniques or learn quickly
- Committed to consistent punctuality and reliability
- Empathetic with patient needs and concerns
