Position Overview


The Certified Nurse Assistant I plays a crucial role in supporting patients with their daily living activities while ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. This role operates under the guidance and oversight of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

  • Education: A high school diploma is mandatory. Completion of a Nurse Aide Instruction (NAI) program is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Successful completion of an NAI program is required. Must be listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I. Medication Safety - AME certification is required. Completion of NC state-approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility-specific) within three months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units is also required.
  • Additional Skills: Basic computer skills for documentation purposes are preferred.
