Key Responsibilities:
The State and Local Government division offers professionals the chance to assist our state, county, and city clients, as well as non-profit and multi-lateral organizations, in various domains such as: economic advancement, sustainability initiatives, disaster recovery strategies, business innovation, organizational planning, technology direction, market research, financial analysis, operational evaluation, process enhancement, change facilitation, technology deployment, risk assessment, compliance oversight, and program administration. We provide impactful, high-value solutions to the most challenging business and technology issues faced by our state and local government clients. Our focus is on translating strategic objectives into actionable plans.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience Required: 3 years post-undergraduate
  • Required Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program and graduate within the specified timeframe
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible start date
  • Applicants must possess current authorization to work in the country

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and enthusiasm for enhancing state and local governance through academic coursework and project involvement
  • Preferred fields of study include business, public policy, urban planning, economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, and environmental studies
  • Proven ability to define and lead client engagements, including conducting baseline evaluations, crafting future state visions, developing implementation strategies, managing diverse stakeholders, and effectively communicating with various audiences
  • Thorough understanding of key aspects of state and local governance, including sustainability, urban development, education, housing, transportation, justice, and administration
  • Strong foundation in core management consulting competencies such as project management, financial modeling, operational modeling, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven success as a team leader, fostering a positive work environment and managing team workloads while meeting client expectations, including providing timely and constructive feedback, keeping leadership informed of progress and challenges, and guiding less-experienced staff.
