Job Title: Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health

Comprehensive Community Action is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in need.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health will be responsible for providing clinical and technical support to primary care providers, triaging client phone calls, and educating patients on selected health subjects. You will work under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director and be responsible for authorizing prescriptions, reviewing and categorizing labs, and ensuring the security of all medications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical and technical support to primary care providers
  • Triage client phone calls and provide advice and health care information
  • Assess the educational needs of patients and educate them on selected health subjects
  • Authorize prescriptions and review and categorize labs
  • Ensure the security of all medications
  • Work under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director
Requirements:
  • State of RI RN license
  • Ambulatory health care experience
  • HIV certification desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other CCAP and community disciplines
  • Takes Initiative
  • Professional
  • Triage skills
  • Current CPR (BLS) certifications
Work Environment:

The Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, interacting with patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals. You will be required to work in either Family Health Services' locations at the discretion of the Director, the Medical Director, or the Patient Care Coordinator.
