Responsibilities

The Patient Account Representative III is responsible for resolving issues related to patient billing in a timely and efficient manner, consistent with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health Medical Foundation. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to use a high level of judgment and initiative when dealing with internal and external customers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Five years of experience in administrative and/or customer service in a professional medical billing office.
  • One year of experience with IDX.
  • Understanding of professional claims and billing procedures.
  • Ability to read and explain an explanation of benefits (EOB) for HMO and FFS patients.
  • Ability to read and explain benefits and co-payment information.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to others.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively during difficult situations.
  • Working knowledge of computers and demonstrated proficiency in using e-mail systems, Internet, and MS office software applications.
