Job Title: Account Director

An Account Director is responsible for the total performance of key strategic accounts. This includes achieving/exceeding operational performance objectives, cost savings, and maintaining and improving employee morale, retention, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business and Operations Planning: Ensure alignment with client overall objectives and performance measurements.
  • Service Level Agreements: Review and document performance and results, and drive service levels across the portfolio.
  • Monthly Reporting: Analyze monthly reports to ensure strategic alignment and optimal delivery of service.
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable: Manage weekly and monthly AR & AP to ensure accounts stay current.
  • Account Review Meetings: Regularly meet with clients to discuss performance results, operations reviews, and work management process reviews.
  • Interface with Client Location POCs: As needed.
  • Coordinate Consistent Service Delivery: Ensure delivery of quality products and services.
  • Review Work Requests: Approve or escalate requests that approach the monetary spending limit.
  • Responsible for Putting in Place Appropriate Plans and Programs: Meet and/or exceed client objectives within the account(s).
  • Responsible for Helping Set Strategic Direction: Implement business initiatives at the local/National market level.
  • Responsible for Establishing Goals and Performance Criteria: Manage the business and ensure cost effectiveness, consistency, quality, accuracy, and performance to business standards.
  • Represent the Organization: Manage business relationships and performance of strategic alliances and joint ventures in assigned area.
  • Responsible for the Strategic Planning and Management: Current and future client contracts, including assessing alternatives and understanding future customer requirements.
  • Responsible for Ensuring Effective Customer Satisfaction: Implement processes and technology to deliver quality products and services.
  • Responsible for Creating a Consistent Operational Image: Implement account-wide initiatives and produce a quality product in accordance with Company standards.
  • Responsible for Driving Continuous Improvement: Throughout account(s).
  • Responsible for Ensuring High Staff Productivity and Morale: Work with carefully selected people.
  • Champions HR Initiatives: Make the function an integral part of the organization.
  • Responsible for Creating an Environment: Give team members and teams responsibility/authority to achieve goals, and then hold the team and team members accountable for accomplishing them.
  • Responsible for the Achievement of Assigned Team Member's Responsibilities: Provide guidance, mentoring, coaching, and feedback to team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; MBA preferred.
  • Seven to ten years related experience and/or training at a senior level in an organization managing multiple facility operations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Experience with operations and maintenance for Commercial and Industrial Space is preferred.
  • Must have multi-site/account experience, ability to identify best practices within industry and a proven ability to apply across multi-site/account scope.
  • Facility Management, IFM experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills are required primarily utilizing Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
