Key Responsibilities:
  • Editing professional, network-quality video highlights, features, and short-form programs for broadcast and digital distribution
  • Coordinating with production teams on location and remote shoots, and working closely with producers to ensure seamless execution
  • Extracting video from various sources, including footage captured on high-definition cameras and other devices
  • Expert proficiency in AVID and Premiere editing software, as well as professional photo and video equipment
  • Mid-level competency in After Effects and Photoshop for packaging elements and branded content initiatives
  • Facilitating the approval process, including master compressions, quality control, and delivery of digital masters
  • Managing project organization, media assets, and video storage, backup, and archiving
  • Ability to handle sound design and audio mixing, color correction, and project management
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with AVID Media Composer and Adobe Premiere
  • Beginner-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Avid Interplay and Airspeed Systems
  • Previous video editing experience in sports or a related field
  • Knowledge of location and studio production practices, photog/video equipment, and strong communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under deadlines
  • Self-motivated, empowered to work independently, and a team player
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required
Preferred Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (editing, production, design, etc.)
  • Avid/Adobe certifications a plus
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Regularly required to stand or sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard
  • Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise
  • Ability to perform computer work for an extended period
  • Will be requested to work sports media business hours, including nights and weekends
