A Day in the Life of a Bilingual Access Specialist:


This position involves direct interaction with healthcare providers and insurance entities to collect information regarding a patient's insurance and the coverage for specific pharmaceutical products.

The Bilingual Access Specialist will assist healthcare providers with inquiries related to coding, billing, and navigating intricate reimbursement challenges.

This role also supports Prior Authorizations (PA) for a designated caseload and aids in navigating the appeals process to secure medications.

Ensure that cases progress through the necessary processes in compliance with company standards and procedures, while delivering the highest level of service and quality.

Conduct benefit investigations for patients by making outbound calls to payers to confirm patient insurance benefit details, address complex reimbursement challenges, and seek resources to overcome these obstacles.

Verify patient-specific benefits and document details such as coverage, cost-sharing, and access/provider options.

Identify any coverage limitations and provide details on how to expedite patient access.

Document and initiate the prior authorization process and claims appeals.

Report any reimbursement trends or coverage delays to management.

Act as a liaison among field representatives, healthcare providers, and patients.

Job Snapshot:

Compensation:
$19-22/hr

Language Differential:

In addition to your base hourly wage, you will receive a language skills differential of $2 per hour, contingent upon passing a certification test.

Launch Bonus:
$500 after 90 days for eligible employees.

Success Bonus:
$500 after 180 days for qualified employees, with the potential to double the bonus to $1,000 based on performance.

Schedule Requirements:
Post-training schedules will be established based on availability.

Training:
Training lasts four weeks, with a schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, including a one-hour lunch break.

Hybrid Opportunity:

The chance to transition to a hybrid schedule will be available after 120 days, contingent upon meeting goals and quotas at the manager's discretion.

Requirements

Qualifications for the Bilingual Access Specialist:
In-depth knowledge and experience with Major Medical & Pharmacy Benefit Coverage.

2 to 3 years of experience in benefit investigation, including analysis and interpretation of insurance coverage.

2 to 3 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers regarding health insurance plan requirements.

Bilingual in both English and Spanish.

Excellent verbal communication skills and grammar.

Salesforce system experience preferred.
