Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Manager to oversee the delivery of patient access services for one or more locations throughout the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of patient access operations, including staff management, budgeting, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives
- Plan, organize, and direct department activities to ensure seamless patient access operations
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures for department operations
- Manage staff on-site in Human Resource related functions
- Review departmental performance and implement changes to improve services and simplify workflows
- Communicate with administration to ensure departmental needs are met
- Handle customer complaints and concerns to increase overall customer satisfaction
- Prepare departmental budget and ensure department operates within allocated expense structure
- Maintain statistical information and establish intra/interdepartmental communication
- Network with site facility to build physician and administrative relationships
- Provide vision, direction, planning, and support to Administrators
- Work closely with other Patient Access Managers to ensure smooth flow of communication and consistency across all Orlando Health facilities
- Participate in administrative and management meetings and attend other meetings as necessary
- Develop and maintain records, reports, and files
- Establish and maintain safety, policies, procedures, objectives, and infection control in the department
- Maintain good payer relationships
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
- Four years of Patient Access (Patient Business) experience required, with one year of supervisory, lead, or preceptor experience
