Job Summary

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Consultant I to join our team in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York City. As a key member of our Casualty Risk Consulting practice, you will work closely with clients to identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and qualitative reviews to identify trends and financial improvement opportunities for clients.
  • Develop and implement risk management and injury prevention strategies, including short- and long-term plans to control risk-related costs.
  • Prepare Statements of Work and proposals articulating service plans and deliverable work products.
  • Collaborate with teams, including casualty claims staff and insurance carrier representatives, to execute initiatives for post-accident mitigation strategies.
  • Support business development efforts by rapidly gaining an understanding of client needs and articulating conceptual strategies and Aon resources to control operational accident exposures and costs.
Requirements
  • Technical skills in addressing occupational safety, fleet controls, and general liability exposures, including safety/ergonomic program development, training, and assessment processes.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data management tools, such as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Project management experience, including budget responsibilities, quality, timeliness, specific metrics, progress tracking, and pre- and post-loss management consulting.
  • Ability to interpret complex data to create client-facing, strategic, and tactical improvement plans.
  • Capacity to work effectively on multiple tasks with minimal supervision and meet expected deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications, such as Certified Safety Professional or Certified Professional Ergonomist.
  • Multiple industry experience, including manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, service, and/or wholesale and distribution.
