As a Fire Protection Systems Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Installation, repair, and upkeep of fire protection systems, including standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps
- Conducting inspections and testing of fire protection systems and associated equipment
- Documenting any deficiencies identified during inspections or service activities
- Adhering to established safety protocols and procedures
- Maintaining precise records of work completed
- Managing vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment
Your qualifications will make a difference:
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the installation or repair of water-based systems
- Ability to work in various settings, utilize hand tools, and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in the installation or repair of water-based systems
- Experience with the installation and maintenance of water-based safety equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent education
