About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at the Veterans Health Administration. As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to our nation's veterans, helping them navigate the complexities of their care and connect with the resources they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to veterans with a range of mental health conditions, including PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify the needs and strengths of veterans and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each veteran, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education and support to veterans and their families, helping them to understand their diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of mental health services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Licensure or certification as a social worker in the state of practice.
  • Experience working with veterans and their families, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
