About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical CFD Engineer to join our team at Swanson Rink. As a key member of our mechanical engineering solutions team, you will be responsible for championing the CFD modeling component of our design process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain fluency in CFD modeling software.
  • Develop best practices and assist other mechanical engineers in troubleshooting and optimizing CFD models.
  • Perform exterior modeling of building site conditions, including location-specific wind profiles, heat and humidity flow, and equipment proximity effects.
  • Perform interior modeling of room conditions, including temperature, humidity, and air flow distributions.
  • Provide recommendations and propose design solutions based on CFD analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience providing CFD analysis and engineering solutions.
  • Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or be willing to pass the exam within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Prior experience with Ansys-Fluent CFD software is preferred.
  • Ability to pass background checks, security screenings, or drug testing as required by our clients and/or Federal contracts.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
