About the Role

Swanson Rink is seeking a skilled Mechanical CFD Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our mechanical design process, you will be responsible for championing the CFD modeling component and establishing fluency in modeling software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the CFD modeling component of the mechanical design process.
  • Establish and maintain fluency in the modeling software.
  • Understand and develop best practices and assist other mechanical engineers in troubleshooting and optimizing CFD models.
  • Perform exterior modeling of building site conditions including location specific logarithmic wind profiles in multiple directions, combination and flow of heat, humidity, and generator exhaust, and louver, wall, and equipment proximity effect on intake air.
  • Perform interior modeling of room conditions including temperature, humidity, and air flow distributions.
  • Provide recommendations and propose design solutions based on CFD analysis.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience providing CFD analysis and engineering solutions.
  • Must have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or be willing to pass the exam within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Prior experience with Ansys-Fluent CFD software is preferred.
  • Requires the ability to pass background checks, security screenings or drug testing as required by our clients and/or Federal contracts.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
