The Retail Operations Supervisor is tasked with enhancing the store's merchandising and operational framework through effective cleanliness, presentation, display, product selection, inventory oversight, and waste management to foster profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising:

  • Supervise the efficient processes of receiving, sorting, staging, stocking, and backhaul.
  • Ensure that product displays are fresh, rotated, and maintained according to quality standards.
  • Monitor the rotation of all merchandise.
  • Train staff on perishable product handling guidelines.
  • Oversee timely and accurate completion of cycle counts to minimize waste and maximize sales.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including deep cleaning of fixtures as necessary.
  • Track daily stocking productivity and hold team members accountable to performance standards.
  • Utilize inventory reports to manage re-orderable items effectively.
  • Oversee the Seasonal Department, including setup, planning, stocking, and maintenance.
  • Operate and inspect powered industrial equipment as required.

Operations:

  • Provide training and guidance to front-end staff regarding daily responsibilities.
  • Plan and maintain front-end merchandise layouts and inventory.
  • Ensure specialty racks are replenished daily.
  • Manage the ordering of store supplies, including front-end necessities.
  • Execute Asset Protection programs and report any discrepancies.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Manage recovery processes to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Support compliance with hazardous waste management protocols.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe environment for both associates and customers.
  • Coach and evaluate associate performance regularly.
  • Ensure completion of required training programs.
  • Execute daily task management responsibilities.
  • Support shrink awareness initiatives and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Protect company assets by implementing all company programs and expectations.
  • Promote a team-oriented environment that values diversity and individual development.
  • Be available to fulfill additional duties as assigned.
