The specialist serves as a vital resource for clients and referral sources concerning insurance options and the availability of medical supplies at Great Plains Restorative Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact insurance providers or utilize online platforms to confirm insurance benefits and eligibility.
  • Ensure that insurance policy details are up-to-date and that correct claims submission information is recorded in the client account.
  • Analyze physician orders to identify requested items and services, reaching out to medical offices for additional documentation as necessary. Evaluate all received documentation to determine insurance coverage.
  • Input all initial orders for rentals and supplies accurately.
  • Collaborate with customer service to verify that all resupply orders have the necessary prescriptions and that clients qualify for their resupply requests before fulfillment.
  • Initiate all ABN/AMN waivers and meet with clients to clarify any coverage-related issues or concerns.
  • Exhibit self-directed learning by staying updated on payer regulations and guidelines through various resources. Be consistently available to clients and colleagues, demonstrating a willingness to educate and support others with patience and professionalism.
  • Research, review, and respond to all forms of correspondence, including emails, to ensure prompt communication. Utilize professional skills when addressing inquiries from clients and coworkers.
  • Show the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively, often volunteering to assist colleagues with their responsibilities. Maintain open communication between departments.
  • Possess strong self-management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks. Exhibit well-developed verbal and written communication abilities. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and the public, actively listening to client needs and taking responsibility for addressing them. Adapt well to a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications

A high school diploma is required, while an associate degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of two years of experience in customer service is advantageous.
