We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic lending team at Motto Mortgage IMG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that loan files meet banking and regulatory guidelines and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Loan File Management: Collect and verify necessary financial documentation, such as credit reports, to complete mortgage loan applications and determine creditworthiness.
- Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between borrowers, mortgage brokers, and loan officers, real estate agents, and mortgage lending underwriters to support loan approval.
- Loan Documentation: Input detailed loan process documentation in our system, from origination to close.
- Loan Analysis: Verify that loans originated can be done according to available programs and investor guidelines.
- Loan Review: Reviews and analyzes all loan documentation received, such as appraisals, loan applications, credit reports, income, assets, and title insurance.
- Loan Submission: Reviews and submits applications and conditions to the underwriter for approval.
- Third-Party Documentation: Orders third-party documentation and reports.
- Communication and Status Updates: Provides status updates to Mortgage Loan Officers and identifies potential issues and communicates with the Mortgage Loan Officer.
- Loan Cycle Time: Monitors overall loan processing cycle time to ensure loan closes on time.
- File Preparation: Obtains and verifies clearance of all underwriting conditions and prepares the file for submission to closing.
- Communication Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Mortgage Lending Experience: Experience in mortgage lending and knowledge of loan types, such as FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loans required.
- Loan Processing Experience: Minimum of 2+ years loan processing experience required.
- Attention to Detail: Must possess exceptional attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and time management skills.
- Education: Accounting, finance, or business Associate's degree preferred - High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient technical skills (Microsoft or Google Suite, experience using a CRM to manage leads, etc.)
