About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst/Programmer to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our Institutional Research and Assessment department, you will play a critical role in constructing complex queries, creating reports, predictive models, and data visualizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Query Development: Design and develop complex queries to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Create user-friendly reports and dashboards to support strategic planning and institutional effectiveness.
  • Data Management: Build and maintain a data warehouse, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
  • Technical Support: Provide training and technical support to users on data analytics platforms.
  • Survey Development: Develop institutional-level surveys in partnership with various offices to support college-wide strategic planning.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Assist with the creation of reports or data from the Banner database for internal, state, federal, and accreditation needs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis programming, or a combination of work.
  • Skills: Proficiency in SQL programming, Tableau, Evisions ARGOS, and Ellucian (ERP) (Banner).
