POSITION SUMMARY

Partner ESI is in search of a Sustainability Consultant (Project Manager) to oversee a diverse range of utility benchmarking and ESG initiatives. This role is open to qualified candidates nationwide, with flexibility in office locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a portfolio of utility benchmarking and ESG projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery with high technical standards.
  • Supervise the collection and processing of benchmarking/ESG data, conduct site assessments, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Ensure quality control measures are in place to maintain consistency and compliance in data collection and processing.
  • Execute benchmarking checklists, conduct property resiliency and decarbonization assessments, and report on greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Oversee the management of Energy Star Portfolio Manager, CBECS reporting, and other data management tasks.
  • Collaborate with clients to support the development and implementation of their benchmarking and ESG strategies.
  • Maintain target utilization rates and promote a collaborative work environment that aligns with company values.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of industry ESG standards such as GRI, TCFD, and SASB.
  • Prior experience in utility benchmarking and reporting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of client management experience.
  • Familiarity with utility companies and benchmarking programs.
  • Proficient in Energy Star Portfolio Manager.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in ESG applications within the commercial real estate sector.
  • 2+ years of experience with leading ESG reporting frameworks such as CDP, GRESB, and UNPRI.
  • Experience with reporting for GRESB, EnergyStar, and CBECS.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing ESG initiatives and climate resilience strategies.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt work schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Passionate about ESG, sustainability, and energy efficiency.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Adequate visual acuity for job duties, including reading printed materials and computer screens.
  • Ability to navigate ladders and stairs.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in unconditioned environments as needed.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, both in-state and out-of-state.
  • Position requires frequent physical activities such as bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling throughout the work shift.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary range is between $60,000 and $75,000, reflecting the expected compensation for this role. The pay scale considers various factors, including skills, experience, training, and organizational needs. Eligible candidates may also participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program based on individual and organizational performance.
