Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Technician to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Clinical Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Review patient care documentation and report any significant changes in the patient's condition to a registered nurse or physician.
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, and maintaining medical records.
  • Provide clinical support assistance, including cleaning the work area, maintaining office equipment, and transporting patients and supplies.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Measure and record vital signs, and patient height and weight.
  • Reinforce routine teaching given to patients by the registered nurse or physician and document patient understanding of instructions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Requires six (6) months of clerical or customer service experience
Work Environment

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
