Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Apple Valley, MN. This is a Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM (rotational weekends) position with a pay range of $17.50+ per hour.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collect specimens from patients according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
  2. Administer oral solutions as trained.
  3. Verify test orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
  4. Accurately enter data into computer systems.
  5. Obtain identification and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
  6. Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
  7. Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
  8. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  9. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
  10. Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
