Position Overview

Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Clinical Nurse Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to become part of the Psychiatric Assessment Unit in Richmond, BC. We invite you to be a part of our dedicated team.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist with VCH, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing guidance and applying specialized knowledge to enhance the delivery of safe, ethical, and high-quality care for patients, clients, residents, and their families.
  • Serving as a clinical resource by offering consultation and support to the interdisciplinary care team, other professionals, and students.
  • Facilitating individual and group educational sessions and crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Advocating for excellence in patient-centered care, education, and research.
  • Engaging in direct care for patients, clients, residents, and their families when required.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of a post-basic specialty nursing program and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in the designated clinical area, including crisis intervention experience when applicable, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for local travel may be necessary.

The work hours, including days off and work location, may vary based on operational needs and the provisions of the Collective Agreement and applicable laws.
