Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to become part of the Psychiatric Assessment Unit in Richmond, BC. We encourage you to consider this opportunity to be part of our dedicated team.
In your role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with VCH, you will:
- Provide guidance and utilize specialized knowledge to enhance the delivery of safe, ethical, and high-quality care for patients, clients, residents, and their families.
- Serve as a clinical resource, offering consultation and support to the interdisciplinary care team, fellow professionals, and students.
- Facilitate individual and group educational sessions and crisis intervention as necessary.
- Champion excellence in patient-centered care, education, and research initiatives.
- Engage in direct care for patients, clients, residents, and their families when required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a post-basic specialty nursing program, if applicable, along with three (3) years of recent, relevant experience in the specialized clinical area, including crisis intervention experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for local travel may be necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven ability to provide clinical leadership and direction.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
