MDS Coordinator Position

We are seeking a skilled MDS Coordinator to join our team at Marlborough Hills Rehab in Marlborough, MA. As an MDS Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in assessing and documenting residents' needs, developing care plans, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate the MDS process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assessments and care plans.
- Oversee ADL training for facility staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
- Issue and deliver denial notices in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete and transmit all CMS-approved item sets (MDS) accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain knowledge of current CMS regulatory guidelines and ensure compliance with the RAI Manual.
- Protect residents' individual health information and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain adequate systems to ensure accurate documentation and billing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
- Must have a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in this state.
- Prior MDS experience is required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
