Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team on a part-time basis (up to 25 hours per week). This role will serve as the primary liaison with our subcontractors, requiring a proactive and organized individual capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing subcontractor invoices to ensure all necessary information is included
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices
  • Cross-referencing pricing on subcontractor invoices with a pricing worksheet
  • Ensuring that subcontractors are compensated only after ISN has received payment from the customer, adhering to the 'Pay-When-Paid' policy
  • Providing backup support for regular accounts payable entries, check printing, and postings
  • Assisting with special projects and offering support to the accounting team as required

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of an associate degree in accounting
  • At least 3 years of experience in the government contracting sector
  • Preferred experience with Deltek CostPoint, though not mandatory
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
