Trust Officer Job Description

Gpac is pleased to partner with a reputable Trust Company to identify a Trust Officer who will play a crucial role in the administration of personal trusts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand trust documents to ensure accurate administration of personal trusts.
  • Coordinate tax returns with external preparers and assist with account reviews.
  • Analyze and interpret common legal documents, including Wills, Trusts, and Estate planning documents.
  • Triage new business and provide summary of accounts.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Understand customer account statements and basic investment theory and strategy.
  • Provide administrative support to the team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a paralegal or legal services field.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • JD (preferred) with Estate planning experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to learn FIS/Charlotte/Sungard database software.
  • Ability to operate with limited administrative support.
