Job Summary:

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Oncology team as a Level II Staff Nurse. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate patients' conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Administer medications and treatments, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in discharge planning, utilizing available resources to support patients' transition to home or other care settings.
  • Contribute to a positive and compassionate work environment, providing emotional support and education to patients and families.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
  • Registered Nurse License; BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC certifications.
  • Two years of experience in oncology nursing.
