Position: Project Engineer

We focus on delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our clients across various sectors, including food processing, packaging, environmental, and pharmaceutical.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relations and Account Management:
    • Serve as the primary liaison for designated clients.
    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with client engineering, procurement, and other essential personnel.
    • Provide expert technical assistance, ensuring clients receive the highest level of service tailored to their specifications.
    • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly.
    • Review client orders to confirm feasibility and negotiate terms as necessary.
    • Collaborate with the Sales Team and relevant internal stakeholders to resolve service-related issues.
  2. Estimating and Quoting:
    • Identify and pursue business opportunities that align with company revenue and margin objectives.
    • Assess client requirements to ensure our capabilities meet their needs.
    • Deliver timely quotes and proposals that adhere to client specifications.
    • Work with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and delivery timelines while maintaining quality standards.
    • Conduct labor and material cost analyses to ensure accurate internal costing.
    • Partner with Sales & Marketing to establish margin targets and strategies for securing contracts.
  3. Project Planning:
    • Comprehend all aspects of project specifications and requirements.
    • Collaborate with clients on tolerances and manufacturability, advising on necessary adjustments.
    • Work with the Value Stream team to determine optimal fabrication processes.
    • Utilize our M1 ERP system and other tools to manage project requirements effectively.
    • Communicate client expectations to suppliers and internal teams.
    • Prepare comprehensive job plans to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
    • Coordinate with Purchasing and Value Stream Leaders regarding materials and services needed for projects.
    • Balance client demands with the company's production capacity.
    • Apply the Project Management Process to suitable opportunities.
  4. Conduct project estimation meetings to align manufacturing plans with client specifications and company capabilities.
  5. Facilitate job planning meetings to ensure clarity and understanding among all team members regarding safety, requirements, and schedules.

Quality Assurance and Project Management:

    • Collaborate closely with Value Streams to provide technical guidance throughout the fabrication process.
    • Monitor project progress to identify and implement improvements.
    • Ensure projects adhere to planned schedules and make necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency and quality.
    • Work with teams to document and standardize improved processes.
    • Engage directly with fabricators to uphold product quality and efficiency.
    • Address any issues, including returns and discrepancies, to maintain project timelines.
    • Analyze returns for opportunities to enhance processes and prevent future occurrences.
