Position Overview

CORT is seeking licensed real estate professionals to assist our corporate clients during their relocation process. As a Rental Consultant, you will leverage your local market knowledge to help clients identify suitable rental properties that align with their preferences. Your role will involve scheduling property viewings and guiding clients through the leasing process, while also providing valuable insights about the surrounding area to facilitate their transition to a new city.

Throughout the relocation journey, you will maintain communication with the CORT team to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

This role primarily focuses on the Oswego, NY region.

Qualified candidates must possess an active Real Estate License and will operate as an Independent Contractor, classified as self-employed. You will enter into a contractual agreement to deliver services to CORT in exchange for a predetermined fee.

What We Provide
  • Comprehensive training through video modules.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team.
  • Daily compensation based on services rendered (specific to location/client).
Key Responsibilities
  • Guide employees of CORT's corporate clients in finding their new rental accommodations and/or assist with settling-in services, ensuring professionalism through appropriate attire, punctuality, and organization.
  • Educate clients on local market trends and conditions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Meet established performance metrics set by CORT.
  • Ensure all vehicle occupants wear seatbelts while transporting CORT clients and comply with local traffic regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept vehicle.
  • Adhere to CORT's Cell Phone policy while driving.
  • Be available for weekend tours and accommodate urgent requests.
  • Familiarize yourself with CORT's furniture rental and Clearance Centers.
  • Complete all necessary online updates promptly, following CORT's deadlines.
  • Communicate timely updates regarding CORT's clients with your designated liaison.
Qualifications
  • Strong sales and closing abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Excellent driving skills and comprehensive knowledge of the local market.
  • Professional transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
Education, Licensing, and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of residency with extensive area knowledge.
  • Must hold a valid Real Estate License.
  • Preferably, have personal or professional relocation experience.
Language Skills

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with clients and CORT to meet the expected customer service standards.

Deductive Reasoning

Ability to listen, apply common sense, and utilize a solid understanding of the market to select properties that best meet the client's needs and preferences. Address customer service challenges creatively and empathize with their relocation concerns.

Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, drive, climb stairs, and use hands. Occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities needed for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to accompany clients to each property during tours.
