Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Engineer with a strong background in server chassis architecture to take ownership of mechanical engineering project development. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of market trends and partner with Product Managers to define product vision and strategy for server/chassis products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, components, and products.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, ensuring best practices in mechanical design and development.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed design specifications, engineering calculations, and analysis to ensure products meet all performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and incorporate new technologies into product designs.
  • Evaluate and select materials, processes, and suppliers to optimize product performance and cost.
  • Work with production line and engineering team to resolve issues in daily production, identify root cause, and improve quality.
  • Conduct risk assessments and failure mode analyses to ensure the reliability and durability of products.
Requirements
  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 15+ years of engineering experience in mechanical design or validation.
  • Solid understanding of usability and DFM methodology.
  • In-depth knowledge of 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks, Cero, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Solid experiences in server and mechanical system architecture and relevant computer peripherals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work in a self-directed environment.
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written, able to communicate effectively in a team environment.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $204,000 - $216,000. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
