Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Financial Leader to oversee financial operations across multiple countries in Asia, ensuring compliance with local regulations, with a strong emphasis on managing India-specific entity compliance.

This role requires deep knowledge of regional tax laws, financial regulations, and cross-border financial management, as well as a strategic approach to leading finance operations across different countries.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling complex financial operations in a multinational environment, particularly in Asia, and will be able to drive financial performance in complex environments.

The Regional Financial Leader will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing financial management and reporting across multiple countries in Asia, ensuring consistency and compliance with local regulations.
  • Consolidating financial data and presenting accurate and timely reports to regional and global leadership.
  • Leading and ensuring compliance with all India-specific regulatory requirements, including direct and indirect taxation, statutory filings, and secretarial compliances.
  • Working closely with legal and external consultants to navigate entity setup and compliance structure in India.
  • Staying updated on changes in Indian financial regulations and proactively implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the region, aligning with both local GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Implementing and monitoring strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance across all entities.
  • Conducting variance analysis and financial performance reviews to identify growth opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Managing cross-border taxation issues, transfer pricing, and inter-company transactions in alignment with regional strategies.
  • Ensuring adherence to various regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, and other direct and indirect taxes in India and other Asian countries.
  • Collaborating with senior management and other department heads to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent qualification.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years focused on regional financial management and India entity compliance.
  • Proven track record in handling complex financial operations in a multinational environment, particularly in Asia.
  • Deep knowledge of India-specific financial regulations, tax laws, and entity compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial management software.

Desired Characteristics and Attributes:

  • Experience in managing finance across diverse Asian markets, with exposure to different regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive financial performance in complex environments.
