Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Pet Food Express. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for coaching customers, leading sales associates, and maintaining a positive and inclusive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement
    • Actively approach and engage with customers to provide exceptional service and support.
    • Answer customer questions about products and provide tailored recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead sales associates through daily operations and provide coaching and development to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Support the store manager in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent to build a strong team.
  • Store Operations
    • Manage and oversee all functions of the point-of-sale system.
    • Maintain a customer-ready store environment, including unloading shipments, restocking, and visual merchandising.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, inventory accuracy, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in retail.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
    • Physical ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
