Job Overview

MINT MOBILE is in search of a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to become a vital part of our Engineering Team. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Cyber Security and is remote, with the requirement to reside within the United States.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in cybersecurity to safeguard our information systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring security frameworks using tools such as Tenable, Zerofox, and Security Scorecard to identify and rectify security weaknesses.
  • Utilizing data from our corporate SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) to enhance visibility and security measures.
  • Collaborating with the team to manage company firewalls and web application firewalls.
  • Conducting both real-time and retrospective analyses of network traffic and system logs to bolster our security posture.
  • Participating in the incident response team to investigate and address security events, documenting findings and actions taken.
  • Responding to security alerts across various platforms and enhancing security visibility.
  • Acting as a security advocate by developing innovative solutions and tools to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Engaging in Proof of Concepts for security tools and contributing to decision-making processes.
  • Working alongside Legal and Compliance teams to produce detailed reports on security assessments and recommendations.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of current security measures and proposing enhancements based on identified threats.
  • Providing InfoSec KPIs and updates to senior management.
  • Participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation as part of the incident response team.

  • Experience in cloud security, preferably with AWS.

  • Proactive in anticipating and addressing cyber threats.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and IT systems.
