Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at our Red Hook campus. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with special needs in their daily activities, including health and personal management, achieving personal goals, recreation, and daily household living.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals in daily activities, including health and personal management, achieving personal goals, recreation, and daily household living.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program individuals.
- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and promoting independence.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide support and guidance to individuals in crisis situations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree with 1 year of related experience.
- Valid NY Driver's License.
- Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.
- Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.
