About the Role

Effective School Solutions is seeking a per diem Mental Health Clinician to provide clinical services to students with significant behavioral and emotional needs.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical interventions consistent with student and family needs, promoting academic and mental health stability.
  • Demonstrate competency in Group Therapy, Individual Counseling, and Family Counseling.
  • Provide family programming, including monthly evening Parent Support groups as needed.
  • Understand the continuum of mental health services, referring students and families to appropriate levels of care in coordination with their supervisor.
  • Consult and facilitate referrals to specialized services based on student needs.
  • Optimize collaboration and coordination with the interdisciplinary team to enhance student care.
  • Develop strong working relationships with school administration, district leadership, teachers, and paraprofessionals.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Submit clinical documentation in a timely manner, aligned with the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in team meetings, including Administrative School Meetings, ESS Town Hall meetings, ESS Supervision Meetings, and Treatment Team meetings.
  • Maintain current professional license and adhere to ethical standards in accordance with governing board.
  • Attend work on scheduled days and times, dressed in professional attire and demeanor.
  • Participate in learning opportunities, such as Supervision Groups and treatment planning, to advance clinical interventions and skills.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 2+ years of experience treating children and/or adolescents with significant behavioral and emotional challenges.
  • Clinical license in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy in the state of employment.
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working with students, families, and community health and social service agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort using a computer.
  • Ability to complete thorough clinical documentation.
