Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Composite Materials Specialist to join our team at RTX. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks in a manufacturing environment, including laying up and bonding composite materials, setting up and operating composite manufacturing tools, and reading and following assembly instructions and engineering diagrams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate process equipment, including autoclaves and ovens
  • Experience with composite materials, including pre-preg, resins, graphite, and fiberglass
  • Read and follow assembly instructions, engineering diagrams, and prints
  • Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with established standards
  • May train and qualify on multiple processes
  • Strong safety focus
  • Responsible for accomplishing daily tasks with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work across shifts, off shift, and weekends as needed to support customer needs
  • Use of basic hand tools
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 or more years working with composites
  • Manufacturing experience
