Salary Information: The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000 - $170,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive salary that reflects the importance of this role in our organization.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Interpreter to join our team. As a Senior Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing high-level interpretation services for meetings, conferences, and other events. You will also serve as team leader and assist in the screening, training, and examining of prospective interpreters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation services for meetings, conferences, and other events
  • Lead teams of interpreters and coordinate logistics for assignments
  • Assist in the selection and training of new interpreters
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for the Interpretation Service
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a university
  • Passing score on the UN Competitive Examination for Chinese Interpreters
  • Minimum 10 years of professional interpreting experience in international organizations
  • At least 5 years working within the UN system or similar international organization
